Project “METCO: Supporting Children in Improving Mushroom Cultivation Facilities and Processing Mushroom Products”
Following the positive response to the social activities in 2020 and to continue the ongoing commitment to community care, in 2021, Muramoto Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Public Company Limited) established the project “METCO: Supporting Children in Improving Mushroom Cultivation Facilities and Processing Mushroom Products.” This initiative involved enhancing the suitability of mushroom cultivation facilities, supporting the cultivation of 1,000 mushroom spawn bags, and providing equipment and materials for processing mushroom products. The project received voluntary support from company representatives in improving the cultivation facilities and processing mushroom products for an external school, Wat Sao Thong Nok School. The project ran from May to August 2021.
In addition to promoting learning in mushroom cultivation and processing, the project aimed to help the school reduce expenses for midday meals and increase income through the sale of the resulting products to the community and company employees. Furthermore, it fostered inclusivity and strengthened relationships between the company, school, and community.
